ISORA provides offshore racing in the Irish Sea and two separate Coastal Series - in Ireland and UK

Pwllheli to Pwllheli Coastal Day Race

NOT Qualifying Race - Weight 0.9 Start -  0900 hrs

The course:

The start as defined in the SI's
St Tudwal Island West (P)
Carreg Y Trai Buoy (P)
O  (S) (The Pwllheli Sailing Club ODM 52º 52.747'N   04º 23.960'W)
Pwllheli Fairway (S) - (Possible shorten course at this mark - see below) 52º 53.000'N  04º 23.000'W
PSC 4 (S)
Finish - As defined and leaving Pwllheli Fairway to Starboard

Please Note: The course will be shortened at Pwllheli Fairway if the first boat is at that mark later than 1500hrs.

A BBQ has been arranged in Pwllheli Sailing Club for Saturday evening - so should be a great opportunity to share experiences, discuss tactics and decide who saw the most dolphins!

Amendment 18th April 2024

A race will be added to the Welsh Coastal Series as Race 17 CW5 - this will be run on 15th June - best three races out of 5 to count in the series.


2024 Class bands are anticipated as follows:

Class 0 = 1.070 or greater
Class 1 = 1.010 to 1.069
Class 2 = 1.009 or less

2024 bands will be published before the first Race.
